Aaron DeEspana’s musical journey began humbly; his 1st guitar had no strings (in fact, it wasn’t until much later he discovered it wasn’t a guitar—it was a mummified monkey sewn to the tail of a fish).  Nevertheless, Aaron diligently practiced his stringless instrument relentlessly honing major scales, minor scales, and fish scales.  Never the optimist and wishing to know if he was on the right track, Aaron sought advice from those wiser and older than he via the psychic hotline.  The inspiration wrought from the music one hears while on hold with the psychic hotline coupled with psychic Edna’s revelation of Aaron’s past life as a legendary Segovian guitarist helped chart Aaron’s destiny as an acoustic guitar virtuoso and composer.

Since Aaron’s 1st  impromptu performance with his “monkey fish” guitar at his grandfather’s funeral, Aaron has entertained countless concertgoers world over through enumerable meditative “world tours” whereby Aaron channels his prana (or life-force) through his guitar thus enabling anyone engaged in deep meditative thought to tap into and join with his musical meditation.  Chances are you have already been present at one of Aaron’s concerts (whether you know it or not) on the leg of one of his numerous “sweet dream” world tours.

The album Latin Your Hair Down—prominently featured as the soundtrack to the motion picture Yoga Advocate—arose from years of musical meditation, much singing and air guitaring in the shower, and an unquenchable appetite for medicinal vegetation—coffee.  The bar song “Wet Your Whistle” was inspired by Aaron’s time working at a homeless shelter where he became well acquainted with the term “piso mojado.”  The track “Amor Especial” was written in homage to Aaron’s 1st wife who shall remain nameless.

When not playing guitar Aaron can be seen leaving the Christmas (oops, holiday) lights up year-round because, as Aaron states, “it makes no sense to risk one’s life taking the lights down only to put ‘em up again a short year later.  Just un-plug ‘em for gosh sakes.”
